I am Yodit proud Ethiopian and a Habesha Traveler.
When kids are asked what they want to be when they grow up they would say a doctor a police man engineer and so on I always said I wanted to be a tourist even tho I didn’t fully understand what that meant . All I knew was tourists traveled around and got to live so many different experiences and had a lots of adventures.
I was lucky enough to see some places with In Ethiopia with my family I even use to go own my own to visit some places.
I have managed to visit 25 countries and 195 cities learning enjoying and having a lots of adventures and of course it’s ups and downs, like visa problem money problem racism, cultural differences and so many more and I would not change it for the world instead I want to share it with the world.
Traveling and seeing many places made me realise more than I could ask for. The thing I already have are so precious. Like my family my country my culture, my history and heritage. Of course I take with me and share with everyone where ever I go. It absolutely made me a better person.
Objective
Traveling is more than visiting places. If done right it will open your eyes in a spiritual level and make you grow as a person. Traveling is not a popular activity in our community.
Traveling should not be seen as a luxury , to some level is a necessary activity. People who travel have better understanding of the world nature and of who they are. It is very important specially to know your own country and culture .
Traveling solves problems like having respect and appreciation for other cultures solves identity crises ,…
In Ethiopia our major tourism comes from the out side. I want to change that I want to make traveling part of our culture and making Ethiopians travel locally. Specially now that we can’t travel to the out side world and there is not a lots of tourist I believe its a good time to promote this activity to our people.

Hi Yodit. I really like your channel and I shared it with my daughter today. She was very inspired by the courage you have to go out and visit new places and take on their culture so easily.
One question she had that I cannot find the answer to is “How old is she?”. Can you assist with that answer? You can email me if you don’t want to post it publicly.
Thank you and keep up the good work. Let me know when you are coming to Kenya I take you around. I have a cultural food show and it takes me to every corner of this great land of ours.,
